2008 Household Chemical Cleanout Campaign

The 2008 Household Chemical Cleanout Campaign for Narrabri Shire will be held at the Narrabri Waste Management Facility from 9am to 12 noon and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday the 27th July 2008.  

This is your opportunity to get rid of unwanted household chemicals including:

·         Paint and paint-related products (thinners, strippers, varnishes etc)

·         Pesticides, herbicides and poisons (fungicides, baits/poisons, wood preservatives)

·         Solvents and household cleaners

·         Motor oils, fuels and fluids

·         Batteries

·         Gas bottles

·         Fire extinguishers

·         Pool chemicals

·         Acids and alkalis

·         Hobby chemicals (photography chemicals etc)

·         Fluorescent tubes

If the amount supplied is greater than 20kg per household a fee is charged for the volume above 20kg.

Businesses can also use the service but are required to pay for the disposal of their chemicals. Contact Narrabri Shire Council on (02) 6799 6876 to book in business chemicals.
